A Tragic End To A Peaceful Decade

Altamont is remembered as one of the worst days in rock history, not only were many assaulted by Hells Angels but one fan was actually murdered near the front of the stage during the Rolling Stones performance of Gimme Shelter. Below is some footage of the stabbing.

Meredith Hunter is a African American Male who apparently had a gun and was high on methamphetamine. Hells Angels saw the gun in his hand and immediately attacked him and murdered him. After this the festival had officially been known as a tragic end to an amazing decade.
