A Photo Can be Deceiving

As the festival continued Hells Angels became more intoxicated and well so do everyone in the crowd. At this time many of the people attending this festival were tripping, drunk, stoned, or on some other level. Normally this wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. This decade was a time of drugs, love, and rock and roll. Which most who attended this festival expected it to be that way.

Many who attended the event were there to have a good time, and to listen to artist they love and there were some who enjoyed themselves, which is seen in the photo below, but this photo must have been captured before everything went really down hill. Hells Angels were frequently attacking the fans, who were there to have fun.

Although it looks as though they are enjoying their time, the festival is looked back on as one of the worst days in rock history.
